This week, the Afghan Star team set up a very special show introduced as the women’s day special. Some women, invited from all Afghanistan’s main regions had the chance to listen and watch some exclusive songs performed by our talented top 3 finalists.
The show started with a remarkable performance from Shahla Zaland, the iconic “AfghanStar Judge”, with her special interpretation of “Azadi” who left the spectators voiceless. Nayeb Nayab was the second singer to come on stage, his thrilling performance of “Shab e Tarrik” from Wali Fateh Ali allowed him to obtain 40 marks and some very rewarding comments from the judges.

A very nice surprise was prepared for our fans with the exclusive presence and performance of our special guest “Wajiha Rastgar”; the famous Afghan Singer”. This was followed by the very difficult challenge that was given to “Rabiullah Behzad, the second AfghanStar singer to get on the Afghan Star stage, who now had to outperform Nayeb’s performance. Rabiullah has demonstrated some very professional skills, interpreting “Khoda ye Dellam” with a lot of talent, he beautifully obtained 40 marks from the judges.The last contestant to get on stage was “Arash Barez”. He came up with a very original song, “Yesterday” from the mythical English group, “The Beatles”, delivering an astonishing performance and also getting a perfect score of 40 marks.The second round of songs was as good as the first one. You also don’t want to miss our second special guest appearance, Miss. Parasto Meheryar who sang “Deyaar”.Finally the show ended with the Golden Star award of the week that was given to Nayeb Nayab for his outstanding performance of “Chadarat” from great Farhad Darya.The show was ended by a group song dedicated to women and performed by young ladies invited to the show
